 At Pilates Harmony we believe the harmonious coordination of mind, body and spirit in the practice of Pilates adds harmony to our lives outside the studio.   Unlike other exercise modes, Pilates is not a series of mindless movements.   Pilates is practiced using a harmonious coordination of the mind and it's control over the musculature of the body.  When our minds are in control of our bodies, we are able to move through the exercises more efficiently which maximizes our results.  The accomplishment of controlling our movements when we practice regularly carries over into our every day lives.  We have a greater sense that we are in control of our selves which allows us to think more clearly, walk taller, and feel more confident in our decisions.   In just a few sessions, you will begin to feel the physical and mental benefits of Pilates.  Pilates is sure to lead you on a path to happier living.   

Kim was hooked on Pilates after her first session 7 years ago.  Early on in her practice she knew she wanted to share its amazing benefits with others.  Thus followed her 450+ hour comprehensive training with Centered Being, under the direction of Suzie Carmack.  Later she went on to complete the well respected Power Pilates most extensive comprehensive 600+ hour certification program.  She is certified to work with clients of all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced - utilizing the Pilates apparatus – Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle – as well as understanding how to work with Special Case clients. Kim believes Pilates can change lives for the better and is thrilled to share all the benefits that the method has to offer.

Kim is a perpetual student and regularly attends Pilates continuing education courses with Masters in the industry.  She holds degrees in Sociology and Anthropology and in her past life was a Human Resources professional.  When she is not practicing Pilates, Kim enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three amazing children.
