At Pilates Harmony we believe the harmonious coordination of mind, body and spirit in the practice of Pilates adds harmony to our lives outside the studio. Unlike other exercise modes, Pilates is not a series of mindless movements. Pilates is practiced using a harmonious coordination of the mind and it's control over the musculature of the body. When our minds are in control of our bodies, we are able to move through the exercises more efficiently which maximizes our results. The accomplishment of controlling our movements when we practice regularly carries over into our every day lives. We have a greater sense that we are in control of our selves which allows us to think more clearly, walk taller, and feel more confident in our decisions. Kim is a perpetual student and regularly attends Pilates continuing education courses with Masters in the industry. She holds degrees in Sociology and Anthropology and in her past life was a Human Resources professional. When she is not practicing Pilates, Kim enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three amazing children.
